About Us

Hello!

Thank you for visiting our website, we’re so glad you’re here! Petallica Flower Farm is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company growing and selling seasonal, local and natural flowers in Gower, South Wales.

As a proud member of Flowers From the Farm, we put environmental sustainability at the heart of what we do. This means only growing flowers that are in season, never using chemicals or nasty pesticides, and selling our flowers locally.

Why choose us?

  • As a not-for-profit, all of our profits are re-invested into our flowers and community projects.

  • Our flowers are grown pesticide and peat-free, without the use of artificial heat or light.

  • By growing flowers sustainably and seasonally, it means they last longer. Our bouquets often last over 2 weeks!

  • We keep our carbon footprint as small as possible by supplying flowers locally and using solar energy to power our drying room and cooler.

Our community

As a not-for-profit, an important part of what we do is supporting our local community and using flower growing as a way of doing so. It also means that all profits are re-invested into the organisation and our community projects. Follow the link below to find out more about our work in the community, including our Women’s Shed.

Founding Director & Head Grower

Lizzie

Lizzie has been a professional grower for the last 9 years and in 2019 decided to go it alone and set up Petallica Flower Farm.

Since then she has grown from her own backyard space to a 3 acre site on Gower. She is now cultivating and preparing the next stage of Petallica on a new 10 acre space to include locally grown shrubs for the cut flowers, whilst incorporating animals into the growing process.

Lizzie is passionate about reducing the carbon footprint of the flower industry and improving soils for the following generations.

Bea

Director

Bea first met Lizzie when she attended the Women’s Shed in 2021 and she immediately loved what Petallica was doing for the community and the environment. With a background in marketing and communications, Bea is now a Director for Petallica and works with Lizzie on marketing, events and community projects.

Jas

Assistant Grower

Jas has been working in horticulture for the last four years and has been part of the Petallica team for two seasons now. She can usually be found grafting away in our flower fields, but also helps out with social media, events and other aspects of the organisation, including refining our flower drying process. As a lover of plants and bug life, Jas is keen to help Petallica do everything it can to protect and encourage local biodiversity.
