Terms and conditions

Events and workshops

We reserve the right to cancel events or workshops if, for example, there are adverse weather conditions, crops or materials are unavailable or staff become unwell. In this event, we will offer the customer the option to either receive a refund or re-book onto a future event or workshop.

If you have purchased a ticket for an event or workshop and can no longer make it, we may offer to transfer your ticket to the next available workshop or event. However, if you cancel within 48 hours of the event, we may not be able to offer this.

Flower care

It is the customer’s responsibility to care for any flowers they purchase in a suitable way to ensure their longevity. For fresh flowers this includes changing the vase water and re-trimming the flower stems regularly to keep the flowers fresh. For dried flowers this includes keeping them in a dry place, out of direct sunlight. Our flowers are harvested and conditioned to a high standard before reaching the customer. We therefore accept no responsibility for damage or deterioration caused intentionally or unintentionally by the customer once the flowers have left our premises.

CSA subscriptions

Due to the ever-changing weather, flower growing in the UK can be unpredictable. As a subscriber you are signing up to this scheme at your own risk and understand that although Petallica Flower Farm will do its best to supply consistent quantities of flowers at regular intervals, there is no guarantee of specific quantity or varieties. You will receive a share of the bi-weekly/monthly harvest and accept this is the shared risk element of CSA membership.

We will keep your contact details on a secure database so that we can contact you regarding your membership and Petallica events. We may also let you know about other products and projects that may be of interest. We will never share your information with any third party.

CSA overview

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a relatively new model for sustainable farming which builds on cooperation and mutual support so that the risks and rewards of farming are shared between growers and consumers. The members commit to regular monthly payments thereby supporting the farm and providing a fair income for the growers. The growers develop the health and fertility of the farm, its wildlife and environment. Produce from the farm is shared between the supporting members.

The members form a supportive community around the growers and can also get involved practically as volunteers if they choose but this is not an expected part of membership. There are regular and additional ad hoc volunteer days, social events and training days. Just ask us if you would like to be added to the volunteer group messages.

Petallica Flower Farm CIC is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. We are managed by a grower led management committee comprising directors and employees who meet regularly.

Community support

As our customers, you are supporting an organisation which looks after the land, pays growers a fair wage and supports people in our local community. Petallica Flower Farm is also dedicated to raising the profile of the value and benefits of small-scale sustainable agriculture to a wider audience.
