DIY Wedding Workshop
When: Saturday 12 July, 10:00 - 15:30
Where: Petallica Flower Farm, Killan Road, SA2 7US
If you are planning a wedding and you're thinking about taking a DIY approach, this workshop is for you! Spend the day at our flower farm learning to make beautiful floral arrangements, as well as creating stunning written displays for your big day. Plus enjoy a delicious lunch and tour around our farm. At the end of the day you will take home a beautiful bridal bouquet, floral buttonhole and handwritten place cards.
Flower Arranging: 10:00-12:30
During the morning workshop, you will each be provided with a bucket brimming with vibrant flowers, sustainably grown at our farm, just metres away from where you will be seated. Each bucket will contain a mixture of colours and varieties, hand selected to create a stunning, unique arrangement.
You will then be guided by Hazel from Hazel Meadow Flowers through the process of making a beautiful bridal bouquet and floral buttonholes, which you can then recreate for your wedding day.
Throughout the session you will be able to help yourself to tea, coffee, soft drinks and homemade cake.
Lunch & Farm Tour: 12:30-13:30
A delicious spread of sandwiches, wraps, quiches, salads and dips will prepared by Bluebell Café for lunch. You will also be given a tour of our farm, with the opportunity to chat to our team and ask any questions you may have.
Calligraphy: 13:30-15:30
During the afternoon session, we will be joined by calligraphy artist, Sophie Johnson, who brings a breadth of knowledge and experience in creating stunning wedding signage, seating plans, place cards and more. During the workshop, Sophie will guide you from making your first calligraphy strokes to practicing writing your table setting place cards. By the end of the session you will have built the skills and confidence to create your own designs for your big day.
You will cover basic strokes, forming the alphabet and joining letters to learn how to create beautifully flowing words. All materials and equipment is included and you’ll take home a kit to continue your wedding creations. Your new found skill can be applied to create place settings, table plans, table numbers, menus and more!
Kit includes: ink, nib, nib holder, practice paper, letter guides and practice place cards.

Tickets cost £125 for 1 person or £215 for 2 people attending together, saving £35.
No prior experience is needed.
All tools and equipment will be provided.
